About VelaPlate

VelaPlate is a meal discovery and comparison platform that helps people find third-party healthy meal delivery and meal kit services. We do not cook, sell or deliver food, and purchases are made directly with the provider you choose.

Information you provide

When you use the meal matching questions, you select:

• the country you are looking for meal delivery in
• your preferred meal type and your main goal
• eating styles you prefer and foods you would rather avoid
• how often you would like meal help
• what matters most to you and your top priority

These selections are kept in your own browser session storage so the results page can show them back to you. They are not sent to a VelaPlate account or database.

These are preference choices, not medical data. If you contact us through the contact form, we also receive the details you type into that form.

How information is used

• to personalize your meal recommendations
• to improve matching quality and the overall experience
• to understand general website usage, where applicable

Health information

VelaPlate does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please do not submit sensitive medical information through the meal matching quiz. If you have a medical condition or significant dietary restrictions, speak with an appropriate healthcare professional.

Third-party meal providers

When you select “View Meals”, “View Meal Kits” or a similar link, you leave VelaPlate and continue on the provider’s own website. Anything you do or share there is governed by that provider’s privacy policy and terms, not ours.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. VelaPlate may receive compensation when an eligible purchase is made through those links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate networks used by our partners, such as Awin, may set their own cookies once you land on the provider’s site.

Cookies and analytics

VelaPlate does not run third-party advertising trackers. The site records basic usage events, such as starting the matching questions and opening a partner link, so we can see how the service is used. Those events are held in your browser’s own storage together with your answers for the current session and a random, anonymous identifier. If a measurement service is enabled in future, these same events would also be sent to it.

Data retention

Your answers are kept only in your browser for the current session and are cleared when you close it or clear your browser storage. There is currently no user account system and no permanent database of user profiles. Messages you send through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to respond.

Children’s privacy

VelaPlate is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information handled through this website. No website or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

International users

Current partner programs are listed for the United States, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and South Korea. Actual delivery coverage varies by provider and local delivery area.

The website may be accessible from other countries where no partner service is listed yet.
